The Belfast Marathon has been run since 1982. Whilst traditionally the race was ran on May Day, since 2019 the race has been run on a Sunday.
The race takes in all four areas of Belfast - North, South, East, and West. Over the years the organisers have tried to adapt the route as to strike a balance between having a flatter course whilst still maintaining the levels of crowd support that runners have been used to.
This race provides a fantastic opportunity to take in Northern Ireland's capital city.
You can take a closer look at landmarks like the Titanic Belfast or the Botanic Gardens post race.
This race has won no awards that we know of.
