Durham City Run Festival

A weekend running festival run in partnership with Durham University and Durham City Council.

A number of race options are made available over the weekend including a 5k and 10k race. As well as this, there are themed runs around the city. In 2020 Terry Deary is running a Horrible Histories Tour.

The event attracts a number of 'celebrities' including previous marathon world record holder Paula Radcliffe. Paula has had her influence on the 'Families on Track' race offered at the event which welcomes families of runners (of any age/ability) to join together in an exciting (but laid back) 10k relay.
