Sevilla Marathon

Sevilla, Spain

The next edition will take place on 23rd February 2020.

The Sevilla Marathon is an extremely popular European destination race. The course is extremely flat and attracts an extremely high quality elite field.

In 2020 Kevin Seward became the second fastest Irish marathon runner in history here running a 2:10:10.

The race is an IAAF Gold Label race which is understandable given its reputation for being extremely well organised and its route which takes in all of the main sites of the city. The course finishes at the Olympic stadium, crosses the Guadalquivir river, and zig zags through the city center.

Seville is the capital of the Andalusia region of Spain. Famous for its culture, food, and art as well as being the birthplace of Flamenco (not that you'll be doing much of that after running a marathon !)
