Venice Marathon

A long running marathon (having started in 1985) that takes place in Venice, Italy.

Due to Venice having no actual roads, the race route takes runners from outside the city into the center (which includes crossing 14 bridges over Venice's canals).

There are famous scenes of the 2018 event which found runners running through ankle deep water when the city flood.
