Taipei City, China

19th March 2017

This race has been run since 2003, and has developed significantly over that time. The race route has changed over the years and now takes in parts of the Wanli, Jinshan, and Shimen districts from which its name is derived.

The race currently (as of 2021) holds a World Athletics Silver Label. It was the first race in Taiwan to be recognised by World Athletics and nowadays attracts over 12,000 participants. The race organisers have also worked with local families to offer homestays for international participants that allow runners to truly embrace/experience the local culture. If this was not enough the race course is lined with local musicians, and supporters often times line the streets wearing culturally significant costume.
