The Ottawa marathon is self described as "Canada's largest and fastest marathon".
The race takes place in the Canadian capital, Ottawa and attracts nearly 10,000 participants.
As well as a Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5k race the organisers offer a 2k race and a 1.2k kids race.
Whilst in the city, take a walk along the Rideau Canal visit Parliament Hill, or have a picnic in one of the cities many parks.
