The race starts in front of the National Art Gallery in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The marathon route is two laps of the half marathon route. There is also a 10km race, and a 3km fun run.
The race has been labelled a 5 Star race by European Athletics, and holds a World Athletics Bronze Label.
