This St Albans Half Marathon takes place in St Albans, Scotland. In edition to the main race there is both a wheelchair half marathon, and a walking half marathon (which starts earlier) as well as a 5k race distance and 1.5 mile fun run.

The event has been taking place since 1982 when it was established as a charity fundraiser. Since then nearly £1 million has been raised for charity and the race attracts nearly 10,000 participants each year.

The race route takes you through the country roads of St Albans having changed routes numerous times over the years in response to feedback from runners.

The event won a silver medal in the 2017 Running Awards for the Best Small Marathon (< 5000 participants).
